The Big Pay Day Raffle Fundraiser - Official Rules

ELIGIBILITY


Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. The name of a minor must not be written on a ticket. If a ticket is issued to a minor before the draw, the ticket will be deemed void and the purchaser will be refunded.
Tickets may only be purchased and sold within Alberta. Online purchasers must be physically located in Alberta at the time of purchase.
The Stettler District Agricultural Society will maintain a mechanism to verify purchaser age and Alberta location at the time of purchase.
The following persons are not eligible to purchase tickets or win prizes: persons under 18 years of age; persons located outside Alberta at time of purchase; any paid raffle ticket manager or ERS administrator retained for this raffle and their immediate family; and any person directly involved in conducting the draw.

3 Tickets – $50
10 Tickets – $100
Tickets will be available for purchase until August 8, 2026 or until sold out, whichever occurs first.
Tickets may be purchased online through the approved raffle platform or in person from authorized sellers.
All ticket sales are final; no refunds will be issued.
Ticket purchasers are responsible for ensuring their name and contact information are accurate and legible at the time of purchase.

Cash Prize Grand Prize: $30,000 Cash
Cash Prize Second Prize $10,000 Cash
Cash Prize Third Prize $5,000 Cash

DRAW DETAILS
Draw Date: August 8, 2026
Draw Location: Stettler District Agricultural Society, Stettler, Alberta
Draw Time: 5:00 P.M.
The draw will be conducted using an AGLC-approved random number generator or manual draw barrel system.
Prizes will be drawn in the following order: 3rd Prize ($5,000), 2nd Prize ($10,000), then Grand Prize ($30,000), unless AGLC directs otherwise. Winning tickets will remain eligible for subsequent non-identical prize draws unless otherwise approved by AGLC.


WINNER NOTIFICATION & PRIZE CLAIM

Winners will be contacted using the phone number and/or email address provided at time of purchase.
Winning ticket numbers and winner names may be posted on the Stettler District Agricultural Society website and/or social media after the draw.
Winners must claim prizes within 3 months of the draw date. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within this period, the Stettler District Agricultural Society will contact AGLC for direction before taking further action.
If more than one name is written on a winning ticket or purchaser record, the prize will be awarded to the first individual named. Neither the Stettler District Agricultural Society nor AGLC is responsible for disputes among individuals named on a ticket.

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS, EXTENSIONS, AND TECHNICAL ISSUES
All ticket sales are final unless a ticket is issued in error, payment is not verified, a ticket is deemed void under AGLC rules, or a refund is required by AGLC.
The minimum sales level before the charity would request a draw date extension or raffle cancellation is gross sales sufficient to cover the approved prize costs and estimated approved expenses, estimated at $55,900. The Stettler District Agricultural Society acknowledges that a draw date extension or cancellation may not be approved if the breakeven point has been reached.
If a draw date amendment is approved by AGLC and a purchaser requests a refund, the purchaser will receive a full refund.
If an online platform, payment system, or other electronic process becomes unavailable, online sales will pause until the issue is resolved and ticket sales can be reconciled. Any suspected technical malfunction, irregularity, or security issue will be reported to AGLC as required.
Lost, stolen, or missing tickets/ticket records will be reported to AGLC immediately. A Discrepancy Report will be submitted within three days of discovery, if required.

PRIVACY & DATA COLLECTION
Personal information collected will be used solely for administering this raffle and will be handled in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

DISPUTES
Any disputes will be reviewed and resolved by the Stettler District Agricultural Society Raffle Committee, whose decision is final, subject to AGLC approval if required.

All proceeds from this raffle directly support community programs and services provided by the Stettler District Agricultural Society — including free community meals, disability programs, agricultural education, youth initiatives, and local events that strengthen our rural community.
